Today we took the bus south to Punta Negra to visit our Ruth's friends, Doug and Joyce in their rental condo there. Very pretty condo right on a long, walkable beach. The bus rides in PV are a fun trip in themselves. We met a Canadian gal waiting for her plane to leave later in the day. She was just riding the bus down south for something to do.

After our condo tour, the four of us caught the bus further south to Mismaloya. Actually, we never arrived there on the bus. It broke down so we got off and walked the rest of the way. We saw this horse at the bridge.

Just waitin' here.

Our destination was a little restaurant on Highway 200 called El Jacalito. We had heard good things about this little place from several people, so we thought we would give it a try. Joyce and Doug over their seafood salad full of octopus (pulpo), shrimp and fresh veggies. ruth tried the aguachili, which was tasty. It had limed cooked shrimp (as in ceviche), cucumbers and avocado in a lime/chili sauce. Different and good. Rick had a tasty quesadilla.

At sunset time we watched, like we have every night we have been in Puerto Vallarta over the years, for the Green Flash. And....we BOTH saw it!! You would think that one person would blink and miss it, but we both saw it. So very cool!!

We went into town for two for on ribs at El Torito. Last year a couple we met there watching a Broncos game gave us a card they had purchased for their trip. It is good for 2 for 1 ribs anytime at El Torito. And it is valid until January 2017. More ribs to come!
We stopped by Nacho Daddy's for some music, Sean was just beginning the first set and we got a seat right up front. Rick was able to dance some tonight. His ankle is getting better all the time!
