Barb and I had massage appointments at Lizardo's in El Centro.

We walked across the two suspension bridges over the Cuale River. That is a massage to the legs in itself!

Our appointments were at 11:00 and at 11:30 the owner came up. We had entertained ourselves shopping, but were ready by then. She had three customers waiting and only herself...no extra hands. We decided to reschedule for manana. Barb found some placemats and a purse she likes. I love this little block with the colorful walls.

 I bought a clever cross for my mom made with little metal charms that carry different blessings. The owners of the shop Elvia and Frank have a notebook full of clippings and newspaper articles from Atlanta, Denver and other cities where they have sold their crosses. They call the art El Milagro del Arte. We were very impressed.

We spent the afternoon at the Vista del Sol pool. Lovely views and breezes!

El Arrayan was our dining choice for tonight. Bill recalls the best duck ever there and Ruth recalls a distinctive dark sauce. We all loved our choices plus Bill bought a nice Mexican wine for the table and it was very good. I chose my favorite Chili en Nogada.

El Arrayan has some beautiful art on display.

El Arrayan also had a beautiful Dia de Los Muertos altar.

 After dinner we stolled home from El Centro (downtown) to the South Side/Zona Romantica over the Malecon bridge. What a wonderful idea that bridge was! It connects the Malecon in El Centro with the Zona Romantica. The two areas are separated by the Cuale River. Now there are many good restaurants and many food stands along the new walkway.

We even found a painting of the famous PV Pirate Ship!

Bill and Barb arrived today at about 2:00. We had fun sitting on the patio catching up and plotting our first dinner PV dining adventure with the first decent sunset we have seen since we arrived on October 18. It still was cloudy as it set, but was muy hermosa!

We decided to go for Takos Pancho next door to Cafe de Olla. And who do we run into, but Mr. and Mrs. Seaside Arizona and SoozS and Mr. SoozS. Small city...guess we like the same restaurants. Takos Pancho is so nice. They serve small plates of tacos for a very cheap price. The best, we decided, is the pastor (pork). Just look at all that comida!! Great meal with new friends acerca!

 

After dinner we wandered along the beach to La Palapa for an after dinner drink. Ruth got the Cafe Espanol...muy especial.

Gaspar was singing and he was very good. He sings at La Palapa on Tuesdays and Wednesday, so we will have to return next week.

First thing this morning,we saw a fisherman on his boat with two companions. Wait, is he on a cell phone?? Things change!

Our day was spent in stores...Costco first and then Mega. We went to Costco to see if they could put Ruth's lenses in new frames, since that is where she bought them originally. Nope! We then took a cab to Mega to shop for Bill and Barb, who are joining us tomorrow. We also stocked up on our supply of comidas.

The highlight of today was our meeting with our Danish-Canadian friends, Kathe and Jurgan. We look forward to seeing them every year. They came by our condo for a drink and we had some time to get reacquainted.

Kathe has an unusual hobby. She like to Flamenco dance. So, when I requested Malaguena Salerosa, she was in her element. The song is about a beautiful young girl from Malaga, Spain and Malaga is where Flamenco dance began. Galdino was our mariachi tonight. He used to sing with Veracruz, our favorite mariachi group. He did a good job on his own.

We had a very good meal at Embarcadero and then had a beer on the beach at Sea Monkey near our condo. Great night with good friends! Oh, the guys liked my fan, it seems!

We began our day by taking a look at a condo in Molina de Agua, which is next door to us. The huge condo has many upset in PV due to its height ~ they did not adhere to the zoning ruquirements. But, it is a beauty. I wish I had taken some pictures. Very luxurious.

For dinner we went to El Patio de Mi Casa for dinner. We had a Cupocity coupon for dinner and a glass of wine there. What a cute little spot. I will go there again! We sat next to a table of four and introduced ourselves. Then the deluge hit! The six of us ended up eating together at a coffee table inside. It was so fun when Ruth and Sue found that they had so many things in common. We are both on Tripadvisor (SciTchr and SoozS). We both had Cupocity coupons for dinner. We both live in Denver. We both grew up in Tucson, AZ. We both went to Palo Verde High School there (sorry to report that I am the elder). So many things in common. Their friends were very fun...SeasideArizona on Tripadvisor. So fun to put faces with names we know from Tripadvisor.

On the way home we stopped at Mi Crepa and had our first crepe on the Malecon Extension. Very yummy!

We had a pretty lazy weekend. Ruth did a lot of reading and Rick is very busy "supervising" the construction at Langosta Loca.

Later we did a stroll through Playa Los Arcos and asked to see a room for our friend, Karen, who is looking for a spot for a cuple of nights. Playa Los Arcos has a perfect beachfront locationa dn is always busy! I found a great little tienda for Karen!

On Sunday night we joined our friends Don and Pat for Happy Hour on their balcony. We actually did not really give them a choice, we just saw them out there and went over. They are two doors down from us in Vista del Sol.

After chatting the sun down, Rick and I headed back for our dinner of rotisserie chicken with papas, chilies y frijoles. We buy this meal on the corner near our condo. Always good!
