Puerto Vallarta Tuesday, 10/3/15

Another day at the beach. Well, we tried to have a day at the beach, but the tide was coming in too high. Ruth gave it a good try and got soaked by some huge waves that overtook her lounger.

We had reservations for El Patio de mi Casa, but every time we have been there it has rained. There is not much covered area there. And, tonight had a forecast of rain. So. we switched plans and went to a place that Tripadvisor folks love ~ Chenan2. Delicious meals! Rick had the coconut shrimp and Bill and I had the seafood pasta. This was a great restaurant and we will be back. Our cab driver had never heard of it, but now we know where it is!

DUH!! I just figured something out. I have been wondering about the name of this restaurant. Chenan Two sounds so un-Mexican. Thought maybe there was a Chenan One somewhere. Could not really figure out how to pronounce it. In the middle of the night it dawned on me. Chenan Dos (two in Spanish) for the chef, Chenando. So, it is Chenanado's. Mystery solved!

Great food ~ Will return!

After dinner we were hoping to hit Bar La Playa, but it was closed on a Tuesday. We spoke with Amy who owns the sports bar next door, All Access Sports Bar. She is from Arvada. We told her we would be back for the Bronco game on Sunday. Fish's bar, Third Base, is close by and we want to go there, too.

So. we headed down to the beach to check out the new "monstrosity" Langosta Loca. This has been a small little restaurant in front of Vista del Sol, where we stay. We watched as they set the tall timbers for an alleged illegal two story structure on the beach. Now, it is still under suspicion and they can't use the top story. Nice drink on the beach with a good mariachi song.
